Nice cosmetic condition. All tubes test fine on my Sencore TC-142. Strong audio with no ripple but the only thing I could hear was the IF band (weakly).

Some signal tracing divulged IF transformer T7 to be open.

So if you have an extra T7 (or T5, T6, or T8) and a couple of hours this receiver might work for you.

VFO BC-458 1-5 mhz: I have a converted BC-458 which a local ham used for an 80 meter VFO
I tested it and it throws out a very low level signal. The dial says 1 to 5 mhz. I hate to trash this if it could be used or shelved by a collector. How about 10$ bux plus shipping. Located in ne Pa.
