I successfully measured several capacitors both for value and leakage. The 1629 eye tube is bright. This tester can be used to check a capacitor both for value and leakage and also great for reforming older electrolytic capacitors. This tester originally in 1960 sold assembled for $45 which would be $492 in todays dollars. A set of test leads and instruction manual are included.
