 RADIOHF - Drake SW 8 Receiver

From a SK Estate; Good working Drake SW 8 Model 1295. This is a very well-known receiver, so I won't go into a long list of features and specifications here. This radio is working fine in every respect, but the cosmetics are good but not mint. The battery door is missing, and the D Cell battery holder is broken but could easily be replaced. This will come with a printed bound copy of the manual and Power Supply (not OEM) I will sell this locally (Denver CO) for $275 or $300 shipped to anywhere in the CONUS. It would be a bit more for AK, HI, or PR. I am happy to take PayPal or will hold this in your name for one week if you prefer to use a USPS Money Order. The radio receives, and the radio transmits , The transmitter puts out over 100w on 80m down to maybe 60 or so on 10m. It is in need of an alignment as the receiver is sensitive on the CW portion of the bands and the phone portion. In the CW portions, it's actually a pretty hot receiver. RF gain control is scratchy but works
. The part I could not get dialed in was the rx/xmt alignment. xmt frequency was always off by maybe 300 hz from receive. This is a known issue with these radios and can most likely be overcome by someone with the proper knowledge.
The power supply works as it should.

TenTec Omni 545 with Digital Readout For Sale:

The 160 thru 10 meter HF transceiver is technically
an Omni 545 analog. However, a frequency counter
has been added, so that it now has a digital readout.
So it is basically similar to an Omni 546.

It produces about 100 Watts and has a very good
receiver. An audio CW filter is built in, which
is extremely effective.

This is a "Series B" Omni.

Cosmetically it is very good, but not mint.
Everything works as it should.

- AR-8503 by Radiomarine Corp of America, the marine division RCA. Tunes from 15Kc to 600 Kc. Apparently when these receivers were released after WW2, the procedure was to deface the nameplate. Other photos are available. Clean inside. Mounted on original shocks. The receiver is fully functioning. $250 plus shipping.

- Drake SPR4 solid state receiver in excellent condition with no chassis corrosion. Front panel is excellent. The rcvr has the optional 5-NB noise blanker and SCC-4 crystal calibrator.
The main tuning knob will occasionally slip and needs the plastic tubing around the shaft replaced. Other than that in great operating condition. All switches have been cleaned.
Original manual and data sheets for both options also included. AC cord. Never around smoke. $450 plus shipping.

- **** PRICE DROP **** Here is a project Hallicrafters S-240 sortwave receiver. It is solid-state, covers AM and FM broadcast, and HF 1.8 through 30 MHz. It has a BFO for SSB and CW reception. It's on very good shape. Bad news is, the volume/power switch control need replaced. The power is stuck on, and the volume is full blast. But the receive section is working. So, if you are handy with a soldering iron, you could have a nice bedside receiver. It has a built-in antenna, or you can use the terminals or SO-239 antenna jack on the back. Sold As-Is, no returns for refund. Paypal is OK if I send you an invoice first stating no returns for refund. $45 plus shipping. It's kinda rare, one of the last Hallicrafters before they went belly up. Thanks
