RADIOHF - Sell: Kenwood TS-850SAT Tech Special A nice condition TS-850sat from a SK estate. Full output (100 watts +/-) transmitter and auto-tuner working fine. Receiver works but has one problem. The AGC is not working and is always at maximum sensitivity which causes distortion of the signals. RF gain control and S-meter works only when there is no RF input. With any input, even noise, the AGC line is driven to maximum gain instead of proper AGC level and RF gain has no control. AGC circuit seems to be working correctly so problem is likely one of the AGC controlled devices (dual gate MOSFET mostly) driving the AGC line to maximum voltage. Time doesn't allow additional trouble shooting.
