The Amperex 4-250 / 5022 is a high power
transmitting tube, very closely related to
the well known 4-400, and a cousin to the
3-500. It fits the same socket as the 4-400
and 3-500.

The major difference between the 4-250 and
4-400 is that the 4-250 has 250 watts of plate
dissipation, while the 4-400 has 400 watts.
They usually can be used interchangeably as
long as the plate dissipation is not exceeded.

Weak 4-250
This 4-250 has low output.
It is not shorted, but simply has low output.
It would be ideal for testing an amplifier.

hybrid rigs, plus many of the older vintage rigs.

FS EIMAC 3CPX800A7 Tubes: I have a few used and tested tubes for sale. They are pulled from commercial VHF service and were tested OKay for filament current at rated filament voltage. They also pass 4100 volts hi-pot testing between anode and grid/cathode/filament. Finally, they were emission tested at two power levels (20 and 40 watt input) and are provided with test data at those points for grid and plate current and output power levels in grounded grid configuration. Outputs average 540 watts at 40 watt drive level.They were tested in the H.F. frequency range, but will likely function okay throughout their designed frequency range.
My price is $200 each or two for $375. Payment by check or postal money order. My offer is limited on quantity.
These tubes are great for amplifier testing, building and trouble shooting.

Was a spare for an amp I use to have a long time ago. Very clean looking. Filament tests good. Power tested good when I had the amp. I sold the amp and kept this one which was to be used for a Ham shack display. I just like the looks of the 100TH. But the project never was done. Time to sell.
